The Wasserman Center for Career Development
The Wasserman Center at NYU SPS offers career coaching and counseling, providing guidance on resumes, cover letters, interviewing, and networking. The Center hosts events like networking mixers, industry panels, and employer site visits, helping students and alumni connect with employers and build networks.
NYU SPS students and alumni also have access to the NYU SPS Wasserman Center for Career Development, including career fairs, mentorship programs, and lifetime career coaching—even after you graduate.
Expert Career Coaches
The Wasserman Center at NYU SPS has career coaches who are skilled in the industries and functional areas where NYU SPS degree candidates are in demand. With backgrounds in tech, entrepreneurship, and higher education, our coaches are certified by the International Coaching Federation, Life Design Studio, and Appfinity Strengths Profile. You can meet with them on site or virtually.
Powerful Career Portal
Once enrolled, you’ll have access to the Handshake Career Portal, where you can browse thousands of job and internship listings, register for employer-hosted events on campus, access additional career platforms like Forage and Focus2Career for free, and schedule coaching sessions. Many global employers promote job listings through our Handshake Career Portal.
Industry Networking
The Wasserman Center at NYU SPS hosts events year-round to help students network with employers. These include industry-specific career fairs, on-campus information sessions by companies, and the NYU SPS On-Site series featuring private tours and networking lunches at company headquarters. Past participating employers include Deloitte, Citi, Hugo Boss, Rialto Capital, and the National Basketball Association.
