The Center hosts initiatives like the Schack Conference on Sustainable Real Estate, fosters industry partnerships, engages students, and collaborates with faculty to integrate cutting-edge sustainability practices into courses. It also connects diverse disciplines with real estate partners across NYU and NYC.

Students in the NYU Schack Masters in Real Estate Development have the option of a Sustainable Development Concentration in which the center plays a critical role. Crafting courses such as Green Building and Sustainable Development, Infrastructure and Urban Development, as well as an Applied Project in Sustainable Development, the center provides experiential learning opportunities and researcher positions.

For interested Companies, the Center coordinates a fellows program whereby students are embedded in firms to assist in tackling issues around sustainability finance, efficiency, policy and triple bottom line development and investing.
